About
- Co-founded GBatteries in 2014—a battery tech company that somehow convinced Airbus Ventures, Initialized Capital, SV Angel and other great folks to invest
- Grew it from my parents’ basement (it’s too cold in Canada to start in a garage) to 35 people over 10 years. Tried to change the world, but didn’t make it. Now thinking it’s okay not to.
- Accepted into Y Combinator W2014, Silicon Valley’s most exclusive tech accelerator (fun fact, this was the last batch with PG still around)
- Made it onto Forbes 30 Under 30. The clock’s since run out, but the screenshot lives on.
- Started Typescouts in 2024 to help startups hire great remote talent without the usual headaches
- Sometimes mentor entrepreneurs at Techstars (on a break right now)
- Started General Frontier in 2026 — research, systems, and tools for the parts of agent work that break
- These days, agents write most of my code. I design the systems around them, and it lets one person ship what used to take a team. Feels like cheating. Mostly isn’t.
- If I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at the rock climbing gym or somewhere outside
What I’m Open To
Advising, speaking, and writing opportunities. I focus on AI, PLG, and SaaS — but I’m curious about anything that comes with an interesting problem.
